Audio Technica ATH-CKR70iS Review
Audio Technica is one of the most known audio brands. They are known for their fantastic high quality headphones that are also extremely well priced. And the clear example of their high quality is that the brand is also loved by audiophiles. Which is why I recently decided to get myself a pair of new earbuds. I wen’t with the Audio Technica ATH-CKR70iS which are really highly rated earbuds, especially for their audio quality. So I decided to finally write this review after using them for a couple of months!
In The Box
- Audio Technica ATH-CKR70iS
- 4 Silicone eartips (XS, S, M and L)
I really like the Audio Technica ATH-CKR70iS headphones design. It’s really simple but still quite modern. There’s definitely nothing boring about them.
The earbuds are made out of plastic and rubber. They come with 4 different size eartips (XS, S, M and L), which should definitely be enough for everyone. I really like how well they fit and how comfortable they are. I had to try the size S and M eartips a couple of times till I found the one that fit me the best. That’s really important if you want to get the most out of them.
As you can see from the image above, the headphones have a round lengthy cable. At the end of it is a 3.5 mm L-angled audio jack. There is also controller on the cable for accepting calls and changing the volume. I really like that Audio Technica has kept the same style on that as well so it actually matches the earbuds. The cable is also decently thick. It’s definitely not as thin as many other earbuds I have tried or used.
It also comes with a nice velvety pouch that I really like. There is a clip at the opening which opens with a little squeeze. I really like the quality of this as well. So overall the whole package is really impressive and high quality.
The Audio Technica ATH-CKR70iS have a really good overall sound quality. You can listen to really any type of genre that you want. But there are some genres that sound better than the others. For example it’s heavier in the highs which makes it fantastic for Rock and classical music.
Now personally I’m a huge fan of rap music and EDM. Which means that all the music I like has a lot of bass. I have read plenty of reviews where they have mentioned that the headphones don’t really have the greatest lows and it lacks bass. Well I disagree with that and for me I feel like there’s plenty of bass in these earbuds. Obviously they don’t compare with larger studio headphones, but as far as earbuds go, I have no complaints with the bass. I have also turned up the volume with those as well and I didn’t hear any cracking or weird sounds. So I can definitely recommend these for all types of music.
I’m actually really happy with Audio Technica headphones. They sound really good and I like how I can listen to any type of music with them. Plus they fit me really well so that’s also a plus for the design. Which I haven’t read any negative reviews about either. So I definitely recommend these if you are looking for the best under $100 earbuds. They are definitely worth the money and sound better than many other more expensive options. They also feel much more durable and just overall a really nice and solid build quality.
