DJI Reveals The Latest Mavic Air Drone

DJI Reveals Mavic Air

DJI has just revealed their newest drone: the Mavic Air! The new drone fits between the more powerful DJI Mavic Pro and the much weaker DJI Spark. It’s perfect for anyone that want’s something in between those two.

And that’s also pretty clear from the price. The new Mavic Air will cost $799, which makes it perfect for anyone that doesn’t want to spend as much as the Mavic Pro. And for $799 you will get a really nice drone. When folded, it’s actually smaller than the Spark and 41% lighter than the Mavic Pro. The drone can also record 4K videos at both 24 and 30 fps! Enough for anyone getting started with drones or just looking for a smaller drone to bring on hikes.

The DJI Mavic Air has a flight time of 21 minutes, which is more than the Spark and less than the Mavic Pro. The maximum flight speed is 68 km/h (42 mph) and the maximum distance is 4 km / 2.5 miles. That’s of course on an open area. But either way the drone will definitely be a lot of fun to fly with, especially in sports mode. The drone does also come with a brand new remote control, which is also included with the Mavic Air.

There are also some other features, such as an upgraded object collision system. Which should make it much easier to fly with the drone, especially if you are a beginner. The drone will be available for purchase on the 28th of January 2018.
