Skross Pro World Review
Travel adapters are a must when it comes to international travelling. Different countries often use different sockets, which can get quite annoying. Especially when you have devices such as laptops that often need charging. And that’s what travel adapters are for.
But often they are either way too bulky, break down fast or cost a fortune. Or you aren’t sure if the one you found matches the country you are heading to. That’s why a Swiss brand called SKROSS has made a fantastic website where you choose the country you are going to and it provides you a list of their travel adapters. This makes travelling so much easier. I recently bought myself the SKROSS Pro – World travel adapter that I’m extremely happy with. And that’s also why I have put together this review!

Travel adapters are often quite bulky and that’s also the case with the SKROSS World-Pro. It has a dimension of 72×67×58 mm / 2.8×2.6×2.3″ and weighs 182 g / 0.4 lbs. The overall design is pretty compact and sleek though. It actually includes two adapters World and Pro which can be combined together to create the World-Pro adapter!
Separately, the World adapter only has a European outlet and retractable plugs for other countries. This works for anyone from Europe that’s travelling to another country. The Pro adapter has different outlet types but only a European plug. So this adapter is fantastic for anyone travelling to Europe. Combining these two, allows you to use any type of plug in any country! Pretty clever in my opinion.
Here is a list of which plugs and outlets you can use it with:
The overall build quality is very nice. It’s made out of white plastic and it feels very well-made. Not something that would break straight away. The plugs slide out smoothly and nothing is wobbly. exact same for the outlets as well. It even locks the sliders once you push them out. In order to get the plugs back inside, you need to press down the release button. Very impressive quality overall.
The SKROSS Pro – World is a 3-pole travel adapter. This means that you can use both 2-pole and 3-pole devices with it. 3-pole devices usually include laptops and dryers. So it’s definitely a more versatile adapter when it comes to compatibility with devices. That said, this isn’t a voltage converter. So do not use a 110V device in a 220V country!
In terms of performance, the SKROSS Pro works very nicely. The pins have enough length to fit into outlets perfectly and stay there. I have never had any problems with wobbling or not being attached properly. It even worked well with a heavy MacBook Pro adapter. The same can also be said for the SKROSS World adapter. Unlike many other adapters, it’s outlets keep the plugs firmly in place. So I’m really happy with the full combination of the both adapters.
There is also a USB version of the SKROSS World adapter. It includes a USB port that can be used even while using one of the outlets. You can also check that out if you’d like a USB option as well!
The SKROSS Pro – World is one of the most universal travel adapters I have ever used. It has a fantastic build quality that beats most available adapters. You can use it at over 200 countries without and problems. I kind of wish that I had bought the USB version myself as I mostly used it to charge my phone. But other than that, it’s exactly the same adapter so I will most probably pick up the SKROSS World USB later on.
It could also be a bit smaller in my opinion but the weight and size does make it seem stronger. They do make a smaller version as well but I haven’t personally tested that yet. But knowing SKROSS, I’d expect it to have a just as high quality.
